LA
ATMÓSFERA
LA ATMÓSFERA
-
La atmósfera es una capa de aire que rodea
la Tierra.
-
La atmósfera absorbe la energía del Sol y
nos protege de las radiaciones solares y del frío.
-
Las nubes se forman en la atmósfera.
AIRE
-
El aire es todo lo que nos rodea.
-
El aire es una mezcla de diferentes gases.
-
Los gases más comunes en el aire son el
nitrógeno y el oxígeno.
VIENTO
-
El viento es aire en movimiento.
-
Durante el día, el Sol calienta el aire y sube
porque es más ligero que el aire frío.
LAS 5 CAPAS DE LA ATMÓSFERA
-
Las 5 capas de la atmósfera son:

Troposfera
·
Estratosfera
·
Mesosfera
·
Termosfera
·
Exosfera
LOS ELEMENTOS DEL
TIEMPO
TEMPERATURA
-
La temperatura es el calor o frío en un
objeto.
-
Cuando la temperatura es alta, sentimos calor.
-
Cuando la temperatura es baja, sentimos frío.
VIENTO
-
El viento es el aire en movimiento.
-
El viento es causado por diferencias en la temperatura del aire.
HUMEDAD
-
La humedad es la cantidad de vapor de agua
en el aire.
-
Cuando la
humedad es baja, el
aire lo sentimos seco.
-
Cuando la
humedad es alta, el
aire lo sentimos húmedo.
LLUVIA
-
La lluvia es un tipo de precipitación.
-
El calor del Sol evapora el agua de los
océanos, ríos…
-
El vapor de
agua sube y se expande.
-
El vapor
de agua forma las nubes.
-
Cuando el vapor
de agua se enfría, llueve.
MIDIENDO EL TIEMPO
INSTRUMENTOS
-
Nosotros usamos diferentes
instrumentos:
*Termómetro: Nosotros medimos la temperatura
con un termómetro.
*Pluviómetro: Nosotros medimos la lluvia
con un pluviómetro.
*Anemómetro: Nosotros medimos el viento
con un anemómetro.
*Higrómetro: Nosotros medimos la humedad
con un higrómetro.
TIEMPO SEVERO
TORMENTAS

Es una tormenta eléctrica con truenos y relámpagos.
-
Los truenos son el sonido.
-
Los relámpagos son las brillantes luces de
electricidad.
TORMENTAS
DE NIEVE
-
Son tormentas con mucha nieve.
INUNDACIONES
-
Las inundaciones suceden después de
fuertes precipitaciones.
SEQUÍAS
-
Las sequías suceden cuando no llueve
durante mucho tiempo o cuando llueve muy poco.

The atmosphere is a layer of air that surrounds the Earth.

The atmosphere absorbs energy from the Sun and it protects
us from solar radiation and the cold.
-
Clouds form in the atmosphere.
AIR
-
Air is all around us.
-
Air is a mixture of different gases.
-
The most common gases in air are nitrogen and oxygen.
WIND
-
Wind is air in motion.
-
During the day, the Sun warms the air and it rises because
it is lighter than cold air.
THE FIVE LAYERS OF THE ATMOSPHERE

The five layers of the atmosphere are:

Troposphere

Stratosphere
·
Mesosphere
·
Thermosphere
·
Exosphere
THE
ELEMENTS OF WEATHER
TEMPERATURE
-
Temperature is the heat or cold in an object.
-
When the temperature is high,
you feel warm.
-
When the temperature is low,
you feel cold.
WIND
-
Wind is air in motion.
-
Wind is caused by
differences in air temperature.
HUMIDITY
-
Humidity is the amount of water vapour in the air.
-
When humidity is low,
the air feels dry.
-
When humidity is high,
the air feels wet.
RAIN
-
Rain is a type of water precipitation.
-
The heat of the Sun evaporates water from oceans, rivers…
-
Water vapour rises and expands.
-
Water vapour forms clouds.
-
When the water vapour cools,
it rains.
MEASURING THE WEATHER
INSTRUMENTS
-
We use different instruments:
*Thermometer:
We measure temperature with a thermometer.
*Rain
gauge: We measure rain with a rain gauge.
*Anemometer:
We measure wind with an anemometer.
*Hygrometer:
We measure the humidity with a hygrometer.
SEVERE WEATHER
THUNDERSTORMS

A thunderstorm is an electric storm with thunder and lightning.
-
Thunder is the sound.
-
Lightning is a bright flash of
electricity.
SNOWSTORMS
-
Snowstorms are storms with lots
of snow.
FLOODS
-
Floods happen after very heavy precipitations.
DROUGHTS
-
Droughts happen when it doesn´t rain for a long time or it
rains very little.
